Questions people ask us
Plain answers.
Getting help
Who can get help here?
Anyone. You do not need to be in recovery, have insurance, or live in Anaheim. Every service is free.
Do I need ID?
No. For the pantry we ask your name, how many people are in your household and your city, so we pack the right amount.
Is it confidential?
Yes. We do not share your name outside Recovery Road. Reports to the county carry counts, never names.
Food pantry
How do I get a food appointment?
Text 714-723-9711 with your full name, the number of people in your household and their ages, your city, your living situation, how you will carry the food, and diaper sizes if needed. You get a reply with open appointment times.
Can I pick up for someone else?
Yes. Tell us who it is for when you text, so we pack for their household.
Naloxone
Do I have to take a training to get a kit?
No. Walk in during open hours and ask. The training takes about 20 minutes if you want it.
Can I get a kit for a friend or family member?
Yes. Kits are free and you can take more than one.
Will you come to my church, school or workplace?
Yes. Call 714-723-4197 or email savealife@recoveryroad.org. Everyone who attends gets a kit.
Housing
Do you have beds or a shelter?
No. Housing navigation helps you find housing, apply for it, and keep it. Call 714-728-0693 to start.
