Privacy and terms
Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 30, 2026
Our commitment
Recovery Road Inc. respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
Information we collect
We collect information you choose to give us, such as your name, phone number, email address, household details, and city when you request services, contact us, or donate. Our website may also collect basic technical information, like your browser type and pages visited, to help the site work properly.
How we use your information
We use your information only to provide our services, schedule and manage appointments, respond to your questions, process donations, and report general program results to funders. Reports to funders use combined totals, not individual names.
Text Messaging and Mobile Information
When you sign up for text messages, we collect your mobile number and the information you give us on our intake form. We use it only to schedule and manage your pantry appointments and to contact you about our services.
We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only with service providers who help us send messages and run our systems, and only as needed to provide those services.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. See our SMS Terms for details.
How we protect your information
We limit access to your information to staff and volunteers who need it to serve you, and we use secure systems to store it.
Donations
Online donations are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your card or bank details.
The app
The Recovery Road app asks for your location only while you look for naloxone near you, and does not store it. Food pantry features in the app use the same phone sign-in as our pantry website.
You can delete your app account or remove yourself from the pantry list in the app at any time. To ask us instead, see recoveryroad.org/delete-account.
Terms of use
This site is information, not medical advice. In an emergency call 911 and use naloxone. Content is copyright Recovery Road, Inc. Links to other organizations are for your convenience; we do not control their sites.
Contact us
For questions about your information or to request changes, contact us at savealife@recoveryroad.org or (714) 723-9711.
